Austin, TX – Central Texas will continue to see unseasonably warm conditions Friday, with highs running 4 to 7 degrees above average and peaking in the low-to-mid 90s across much of the region.

According to the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio, temperatures will range from 86° in Fredericksburg to 95° in Del Rio and Pleasanton. San Antonio is forecast to reach 94°, while Austin may top out at 94° as well.

Forecasters noted only a very slim chance—10 to 15 percent—of isolated afternoon or early evening showers, mainly along and east of U.S. 281. Most locations, however, are expected to remain dry.

The extended outlook shows the above-average warmth holding steady into next week. Daily highs are expected to stay in the upper 80s to mid-90s, with overnight lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. Rain chances remain minimal through October 10, generally below 25 percent for most cities.

Communities from Austin to San Antonio and across the Hill Country can expect little relief from the heat in the coming days, as October begins on a warmer-than-normal note.
