Central Pennsylvania Weather: Clear Nights, Mild Days, Showers Possible by Tuesday

State College, Pa. – Central Pennsylvania will hold onto summer warmth a few more days as sunshine dominates the skies through Monday, bringing highs in the low to mid-80s before cooler air settles in over the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in State College, calm and dry conditions are expected across Centre County and much of central Pennsylvania through early next week. Highs will reach 84 in State College today before easing into the upper 70s on Saturday. Nights remain comfortable, with lows dipping into the 50s under mostly clear skies.

Drivers can expect smooth travel conditions across Interstates 80 and 99, with no major weather-related hazards anticipated. Outdoor events in Bellefonte, Lewistown, and Altoona should see plenty of sunshine and only light winds. By Sunday night, clouds will increase, setting the stage for scattered showers returning to the region Tuesday.

Residents should take advantage of the dry stretch to complete outdoor projects or travel plans before unsettled weather arrives midweek. The first chance of rain will be Tuesday afternoon with a 30% chance of showers, followed by another chance Tuesday night into Wednesday.
