The first light over the Oklahoma plains paints a calm, golden sky — a near-perfect start for early November. Oklahoma City and much of central Oklahoma are heading into a beautiful stretch of clear skies, mild temperatures, and light winds, ideal for outdoor plans and early holiday prep.

Today will bring full sunshine with highs near 73°F, a touch warmer than average for early November. North winds stay light, and humidity drops through the afternoon, giving the air a crisp, comfortable feel. Travelers along I-35 and through the metro should have smooth driving with excellent visibility through the weekend.

Saturday keeps the sunshine coming, with highs near 71°F and a light southwest breeze. By late day, a subtle wind shift from the north hints at the change arriving Sunday. That’s when cooler, drier air slides in behind a weak front, dropping highs to around 48°F with early morning lows dipping toward 28°F.

The first light frost of the season could touch low-lying areas early Monday before sunshine quickly warms things back into the 50s. By Veterans Day, temperatures rebound sharply — highs near 68°F to 70°F, with more sunshine than clouds.

This weekend offers one of November’s best stretches for fall cleanup, early decorating, or travel before colder air pushes deeper across the Plains later next week.
