Columbus, Ohio – After a cloudy midweek stretch, central Ohio is turning warmer and brighter heading into the weekend, though a brief round of showers may interrupt outdoor plans. Highs will climb into the mid-80s Friday and near 88 degrees Saturday afternoon before a slight chance of rain develops late in the day.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Thursday brings partly sunny skies with highs near 83, followed by even warmer conditions Friday under mostly sunny skies. Winds will remain light, shifting from the north to the northeast at under 10 mph.

Columbus, Dublin, and Grove City can expect mostly dry weather through Friday night with lows steady in the mid-60s. Saturday remains the warmest day, though spotty showers could arrive after 2 p.m., affecting evening events and late travel along I-70 and I-71.

By Sunday, drier and more comfortable conditions return, with highs near 83 before a noticeable cooldown arrives early next week. Highs Monday and Tuesday fall into the mid-70s, with crisp overnight lows dipping into the 50s.

Another stretch of sunny, mild weather is expected through midweek.
