Hastings, NE – Scattered showers are expected across central Nebraska throughout Tuesday morning, tapering off by the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Hastings. Rainfall totals are expected to remain light, generally below a quarter of an inch, with highs ranging from the upper 50s to low 60s.

A brief warm-up follows midweek. Wednesday’s highs will climb into the upper 70s to low 80s, with a few lingering morning showers before skies clear by afternoon. Southerly winds will increase to 20–30 mph, bringing a noticeable shift toward warmer, breezy conditions.

By Thursday, temperatures remain mild in the mid-70s to low 80s under partly sunny skies. However, forecasters warn that a cold front will move through Thursday evening into the night, ushering in cooler air and another round of light rain chances. Winds could again gust up to 30 mph as the front passes.

Residents are advised to plan for changing conditions later in the week, especially for evening travel Thursday as temperatures drop and rain returns.
