Louisville, KY – Dense fog is blanketing much of central Kentucky this morning, reducing visibility and creating potentially hazardous travel conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville.
Fog is expected to persist through mid-morning Monday, with visibility dropping below a quarter mile in some areas. Motorists are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and allow extra travel time during the morning commute.
After the fog lifts, the region will enjoy a period of calm and mild weather through Monday afternoon, with highs reaching the upper 50s to low 60s. Conditions change Monday night as a new system brings widespread showers and a few thunderstorms into Tuesday.
Rain chances increase sharply Tuesday morning, with some areas seeing brief downpours and gusty winds. Cooler, drier air will follow for the Thanksgiving and Black Friday period, with daytime highs likely returning to the 40s and 50s by midweek.
Travelers and commuters should monitor updated forecasts for timing on Tuesday’s storms and expect slower travel during the morning fog today.
