Louisville, KY – The National Weather Service in Louisville reports a stretch of cool, damp fall weather across central and southern Kentucky, with scattered light rain and cloudy skies expected to persist through Sunday and into early next week.

According to Saturday evening’s update, sprinkles and light rain will continue overnight and through much of Sunday, followed by an increase in rain chances late Sunday night into Monday, particularly across south-central Kentucky. Daytime highs Sunday will hover near 60 to 65°F, while nighttime lows dip into the mid-40s to around 50°F.

Monday is forecast to bring steadier rainfall and highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s, with breezy conditions possible as the next system moves through. While no severe weather is expected, the combination of rain and cool air will make for a damp start to the workweek.

The National Weather Service says conditions should gradually dry out by midweek, bringing partly sunny skies and near-normal temperatures for late October.

Residents are encouraged to keep umbrellas handy and allow extra travel time during the Monday morning commute.
