Dodge City, KS – Residents across central and southwest Kansas can expect a mostly dry stretch of weather this week, with only small chances for rain, according to the National Weather Service in Dodge City.

Forecasters said Tuesday that a light shower or two is possible Wednesday morning in central Kansas, but the chance of rain remains low at just 10 to 15 percent. Most locations will stay dry through Saturday.

Looking ahead, the weather service noted that another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop Sunday night into Monday. Chances remain modest, with only a 10 to 20 percent likelihood of rainfall.

Temperatures will be on the rise through the week. Highs are forecast in the lower 80s through midweek, warming into the upper 80s by Thursday and Friday. Some communities, including Ulysses, Liberal, Garden City, and Syracuse, could see readings in the low 90s by Friday afternoon.

The pattern means most Kansans can expect warm, dry conditions that may extend into early next week, with only limited relief from passing showers.
