Indianapolis, Indiana – Morning showers will increase across Indiana today, moving from south to north and bringing the potential for afternoon thunderstorms. Localized downpours could also develop as the day progresses.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, rain is expected to continue through Tuesday, with isolated thunderstorms in some areas. As the week moves forward, very warm and humid conditions will develop, setting the stage for possible severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon.

Throughout the state, Tuesday’s temperatures will reach a high of 75-78°F, and scattered showers will continue. By Wednesday, conditions will remain wet with temperatures between 77°F and 81°F. However, the biggest concern comes Thursday, with highs in the 85-89°F range. The combination of heat and humidity will increase the likelihood of strong thunderstorms later in the day.

Local residents are urged to monitor weather updates closely, as more severe conditions could develop, including damaging winds or heavy rainfall in some areas. Alerts may follow as this active weather pattern continues.
