According to the National Weather Service, the Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. this morning, with the thickest fog lingering in counties such as Vigo, Clay, and Sullivan. Drivers are urged to use extra caution, particularly on rural roads and highways, where visibility could drastically change in a matter of moments.
With the fog reducing visibility, local agencies advise motorists to use low-beam headlights and maintain extra following distance from other vehicles. Commuters should also expect delays, especially on major routes like I-70 and US-41.
