Indianapolis, IN – Central Indiana residents are being warned to secure Halloween decorations as gusty winds are expected to increase overnight and persist through Wednesday. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis predicts wind gusts of up to 45 mph on Tuesday, especially in northwestern areas.
According to the National Weather Service, winds will reach up to 30 mph Monday night, with temperatures dropping between 57 to 64 degrees. A “Fire Weather Danger” alert is also in place for Tuesday, with high temperatures between 77 to 81 degrees and gusts potentially reaching 45 mph. This elevated fire risk is due to warm, dry conditions and strong winds, which can rapidly spread flames.
The weather will remain gusty Tuesday night, with winds gusting up to 30 mph and lows ranging from 58 to 62 degrees. Residents are advised to secure outdoor decorations, as unsecured items could become hazardous in strong winds. The National Weather Service urges caution and encourages everyone to prepare for potential weather disruptions through mid-week.
