Lincoln, IL – Central Illinois will see unseasonably warm temperatures with rain dominating the forecast through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected tonight along areas east of Interstate 55, with lows ranging from 42 to 51 degrees. Sunday will bring daytime highs between 47 and 55 degrees, with additional rain likely along the same corridor.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a 90% chance of evening rain and highs of 45 to 53 degrees. By Tuesday, temperatures will drop slightly, with highs between 39 and 48 degrees and a 70-80% chance of continued rainfall.

Wednesday will usher in significantly cooler weather as highs fall into the 30s. Skies will remain partly cloudy, providing some relief from the rain.

Residents are advised to remain prepared for wet conditions in the coming days and dress accordingly as colder weather moves in.
