Wednesday will be slightly warmer, with highs in the 80°F to 85°F range. Winds will pick up, creating a breezy afternoon with the potential for additional storms in the evening.
By Thursday, the heat kicks in. Highs across much of central Illinois are expected to approach 90°F, marking a noticeable shift to summer-like temperatures.
