Lincoln, IL – Central Illinois will see mostly quiet weather through the remainder of the weekend, with mild temperatures before a wetter pattern sets in early next week.
According to the National Weather Service Central Illinois, Saturday night will stay cloudy with scattered sprinkles and lows between 42°F and 48°F. Sunday is expected to remain mostly dry, with highs ranging from 63°F to 66°F and occasional clouds.
Rain chances increase late Monday, becoming most widespread from Monday night through Tuesday night. Forecasters say areas southeast of I-55 have the highest likelihood of measurable rainfall — around 50–60% — with totals possibly exceeding half an inch.
By midweek, highs will drop into the mid-50s, with lingering rain and clouds expected into Wednesday. Overall, the upcoming week will mark a shift toward cooler, wetter fall weather for much of the region.
