According to the National Weather Service in Central Illinois, Wednesday will stay mostly dry with only a 10% chance of showers and highs ranging from 50–58 degrees. Overnight temperatures are expected to fall into the 40–46-degree range.

Rain chances increase notably on Thursday, especially south of I-72, where the likelihood climbs to 60%. High temperatures will remain mild, topping out between 55–61 degrees, with similar lows Thursday night in the low 40s to low 50s.

Friday brings the highest chance for widespread rain, with 80% coverage expected across the region. Highs will sit in the mid-50s to lower 60s, followed by cooler nighttime readings in the mid-30s to upper 40s.

The weekend trends quieter. Saturday brings a 20% chance of showers and highs between 53–60 degrees, while Sunday stays mostly dry with only a 10% chance of precipitation and highs reaching 57–61 degrees.

Forecasters say no hazardous weather is expected, but scattered showers could impact travel and outdoor plans during the late-week period.
