According to the US National Weather Service Central Illinois, temperatures are expected to range between 91 and 96 degrees, with a heat index approaching 100 degrees if showers and storms hold off. Friday’s forecast predicts scattered showers and storms, mainly north of I-72, with temperatures ranging from 85 to 90 degrees.
