Melbourne, FL – A weakening cold front will move through east-central Florida overnight, bringing rain showers and the potential for isolated lightning storms. However, widespread heavy rainfall is not expected. Cooler conditions will follow the cold front, impacting several cities across the region, including Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Melbourne.
According to the National Weather Service, the cold front is expected to arrive by early Tuesday morning, with temperatures dropping behind the system. Tonight, temperatures will range from the low 60s in Leesburg to mid-60s in cities like Orlando and Melbourne. By Tuesday, temperatures will drop further, with a low of 57°F expected in Daytona Beach, while cities like Port St. Lucie will see temperatures at 66°F.
A 40-70% chance of rain remains for areas impacted by the cold front, but widespread heavy rainfall is not anticipated. Residents are advised to be prepared for cooler conditions and intermittent rain as the front moves through. Temperatures will remain in the low 70s on Tuesday, reaching the high 70s by Wednesday.
