Florida – Low clouds blur headlights and soften streetlights early, as patchy fog settles across Central Florida. Damp air clings to neighborhoods from Melbourne to Orlando, slowing the morning routine before the sun takes control.

According to the National Weather Service, fog lingers through the early morning hours before lifting by midmorning. Visibility briefly drops on stretches of I-95, State Road 528, and local causeways. Once the fog clears, sunshine takes over fast, pushing afternoon temperatures toward the upper 70s.

Across Brevard County and the Space Coast, today turns bright and warm with light winds. Orlando and inland communities follow a similar pattern, climbing into the upper 70s by midafternoon. The air feels more like spring than February, especially after a cool start in the low 50s.

Wednesday and Thursday stay mostly sunny and dry, with highs holding near the upper 70s. Nights remain comfortable, dipping into the mid-50s. By Friday, temperatures edge even higher, setting up a warm and inviting Valentine’s Day weekend. Saturday reaches the low 80s in Melbourne, with plenty of sun for outdoor plans.

By late weekend into early next week, moisture slowly returns. Clouds increase Sunday, and a few showers become possible as winds strengthen. Gusts could reach 30 mph at times, especially near the coast, adding a breezy feel to the warmth.

Looking farther ahead, NOAA’s 6–10 day outlook shows above-normal temperatures continuing across Florida into late next week. While much of the country tracks winter storms and ice, Central Florida leans fully into a February thaw.

Drive carefully in fog-prone areas this morning, and enjoy the sunshine later today. Feeling the spring vibe already where you live?
