Melbourne, FL – A weak front sliding into Central Florida today is bringing dense morning fog, low clouds, and the potential for rapid drops in visibility, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne. Temperatures will remain warmer than normal for late November, with only a few scattered showers expected.
According to the National Weather Service, dense fog may form quickly along major corridors, and motorists should be prepared to use low-beam headlights, reduce speed, and drive with caution. Fog impacts are expected through mid-morning before gradually lifting.
Daytime highs across East Central Florida will reach the upper 70s to mid-80s, including 82° in Orlando, 81° in Daytona Beach, 84° in Okeechobee, and 82–83° from Vero Beach to Port St. Lucie. Rain chances remain low, generally 10–20%, with most communities staying dry.
The warm trend continues Monday through Wednesday, with highs hovering in the 80–85° range. Patchy morning fog is possible again Monday, followed by mostly dry conditions Tuesday and a few passing showers Wednesday. Rip current risk will remain elevated at Atlantic beaches throughout the week, especially near Daytona Beach, Cape Canaveral, Indialantic, and Fort Pierce.
Thanksgiving Day brings the next notable change. A cold front will track through the region, bringing cooler temperatures north and warmer conditions south, along with a few showers or isolated storms. Highs Thursday range from 71–80°, depending on the exact timing of the front.
Beachgoers, commuters, and holiday travelers are encouraged to monitor conditions, particularly regarding rip currents and early-morning fog.
