Hanford, CA – A freeze warning remains in effect across central California, including the San Joaquin Valley, through 8 a.m. Sunday. Residents should prepare for overnight temperatures as low as 30 degrees, threatening sensitive vegetation and outdoor plumbing.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning impacts areas near Highway 99, including Fresno, Visalia, and Hanford. The coldest temperatures are expected between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m., with frost posing risks to crops and landscaping. Residents should cover plants, insulate exposed pipes, and ensure outdoor pets are safe from freezing conditions.

Temperatures are expected to rebound Monday, with daytime highs near 60 degrees and mostly sunny skies. A slight chance of rain enters the forecast late Monday night into Tuesday, but conditions will remain clear for much of the week.

The extended forecast indicates a warming trend, with highs climbing to 67 degrees by Thursday and Friday. Nights will remain cold, with lows in the mid-to-upper 30s. Farmers are advised to continue monitoring temperatures as frost threats could persist.

Residents traveling along Highway 99 or other major routes should be cautious of potential frost, which could create slick surfaces early Monday morning. Commuters should allow extra time for travel and prepare vehicles for freezing weather.
