Hanford, California – Temperatures across Hanford and much of the San Joaquin Valley are set to rise into the 90s by early next week, with highs reaching 96°F by Wednesday under persistent sunshine and dry skies.

According to the National Weather Service in Hanford, today’s high will reach 86°F, gradually climbing each day through Tuesday, when a high near 92°F is expected. Winds will remain light but may gust up to 20 mph at times, especially Saturday and Sunday nights, contributing to increased fire weather concerns.

Northwest winds of 5 to 15 mph will accompany mostly sunny to clear skies through Monday, with overnight lows dropping into the upper 50s to mid-60s. Sunday is forecast to be slightly cooler, with a high near 79°F, offering brief relief before the warming trend resumes.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat, and monitor vulnerable individuals. With dry conditions and gusty weekend winds, those in rural or fire-prone areas should avoid open flames and review local burn restrictions.

Above-average heat is expected to persist through next week. The National Weather Service may issue advisories if critical fire weather thresholds are met.
