Hanford, Calif. – Central California is entering a stretch of classic late-summer weather, with Hanford and surrounding valley communities seeing warm days and cool nights through midweek. Afternoon highs are expected to reach near 90 degrees each day, keeping conditions hot and dry for residents.

According to the National Weather Service in Hanford, Friday will bring partly sunny skies early before clearing to full sunshine, topping out near 86 degrees. By Saturday and Sunday, highs rise back to 90, with northwesterly breezes around 5 mph offering little relief from the afternoon heat.

Evenings will cool quickly, with lows dipping into the low 60s, creating wide temperature swings between day and night. This pattern will continue through Monday and Tuesday, when daytime highs climb slightly, reaching 91 by the start of the week.

Residents are advised to limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable neighbors. While no rain is in the outlook, clear skies will keep air quality a concern, especially with ongoing wildfire smoke in parts of the valley.

Dry and sunny conditions remain locked in place into late next week.
