LITTLE ROCK, AR – Rain will make a return to central Arkansas tonight, bringing cooler temperatures and wet conditions along Interstate 40. Highs on Sunday will struggle to reach the mid-40s as clouds dominate the skies.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, rain chances increase after sunset tonight, with totals expected to remain below 0.25 inches. Saturday’s high will peak near 55 degrees before dropping to a low of 39 overnight. South winds at 5 to 10 mph will taper off by Sunday morning.

Sunday will stay cloudy with lingering drizzle in the morning. Highs will be limited to the low to mid-40s, with calm winds shifting from the northeast. Overnight lows Sunday into Monday will dip to 32 degrees.

Looking ahead, Monday offers a break from the dreary weekend, with mostly sunny skies and highs near 52 degrees. Temperatures continue to rise on Tuesday, climbing to 61 degrees under partly sunny skies. Another round of showers is likely Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Motorists traveling on I-40 or I-30 tonight should exercise caution as rain may create slick patches on roadways. Use headlights during precipitation and maintain safe following distances.

For those planning outdoor activities, Saturday afternoon remains the best opportunity for dry conditions. Stay updated with the latest forecast to adjust plans accordingly.
