Green Bay, Wis. – Strong thunderstorms could bring damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain across north-central Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon, with a second round of storms targeting central and east-central areas Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, Tuesday’s storm activity is most likely after 2 p.m. and will mainly affect north-central regions, including Wausau, Rhinelander, and Shawano. Isolated severe storms are possible, and residents are urged to stay alert for weather warnings.

By Wednesday, the focus shifts southeast, with scattered storms expected in Appleton, Green Bay, and the Fox Valley. Highs will drop sharply from Tuesday’s upper 80s to mid-60s. Localized flooding and power outages are possible due to heavy rainfall and gusty winds.

Lingering showers may persist early Thursday, but a shift to drier and cooler conditions is expected by late afternoon. Travelers should watch for slick roads and reduced visibility through Wednesday night. Outdoor plans may need to be adjusted, especially for evening events.

More updates and possible advisories are likely as storms develop. The NWS encourages residents to monitor alerts and prepare for brief outages or travel delays.
