Birmingham, AL – Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecasted to develop across western portions of Alabama this afternoon, as temperatures climb into the 80s and 90s. The National Weather Service in Birmingham predicts highs reaching up to 92°F in Demopolis and Tuscaloosa, while Birmingham is expected to see a high of 89°F.

This afternoon’s weather may impact outdoor plans, with showers and storms expected to be most active in the western part of the region. According to the National Weather Service, these storms will gradually shift eastward throughout the day. Despite the afternoon heat, cooler temperatures are anticipated tonight, with lows dipping into the mid-60s in some areas, including Hamilton and Anniston.
