PITTSBURGH – The Original Pittsburgh Taco Festival returns to the Strip District today from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine. Festivities will take place around The Stacks at 3 Crossings.
Attendees can enjoy authentic Latin culture with more than 25 food trucks, live music, and Salsa dancing while supporting small local businesses.
Craig McCloud founded the festival in 2016 to support emerging food trucks and give back to nonprofits that serve the city’s Latin American community. The Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation has supported the event since 2017, highlighting both the traditions of Latin American culture in Pittsburgh and the innovation of modern changes.
“Every year, new generations come. We want them to learn that a taco is more than fast food, it’s culture, history, and hard work,” Guillermo Velázquez, executive director of the Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation, told local news.
General admission tickets are $17 and available through the day of the event. Silver or gold tickets include added benefits such as free festival shirts, free parking options, and entry into the PTF Prize raffle.
Visitors come from around the country to experience Pittsburgh’s culture and contribute to the local economy. City officials say the festival’s commercial and social impact makes it a valued annual event.
