Cedar Lake, IN – Cedar Lake became the scene of a traffic collision at the busy intersection of Wicker Ave. and W. 151st Ave Thursday afternoon when a total of six individuals sustained injuries when four vehicles clashed in a serious accident.
According to the Cedar Lake Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5141, first responders executed a meticulous extraction operation for four of the injured. Three of those hurt in the crash required hospitalization, while emergency personnel, assisted by a UCAN – University of Chicago Aeromedical Network helicopter, ensured rapid medical attention.
The incident prompted a full-scale response from neighboring emergency services, highlighting the collaborative effort to manage the aftermath of the crash.
