Cayuga, IN – Parents across Vermillion County are invited to attend two special “Parent Information Night” events focused on child internet and social media safety this fall.
According to organizers, the State Police and Vermillion County Prosecutor’s Office will lead presentations designed to help parents recognize online dangers, understand child exploitation risks, and navigate current social media challenges.
The first session took place on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, at North Vermillion Elementary School from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The second session will be on Monday, November 3, 2025, at North Vermillion Jr./Sr. High School during the same hours.
Dinner will be provided to all attending families, thanks to the Vermillion County Community Foundation and Clark Chevrolet of Cayuga. The FFA will offer on-site childcare services so parents can fully participate in the discussions.
Organizers say the sessions will give parents and guardians tools to help children stay safe online, as well as opportunities to ask questions and learn from law enforcement experts.
Community members are encouraged to RSVP using the event QR code shared by the schools.
