Authorities said deputies later located the vehicle near Missouri 58 and Dean Avenue, where the pursuit continued into Kansas City. The vehicle eventually stopped near 155th Street west of Hardesty Avenue after five occupants allegedly fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.
Law enforcement officials reported that all five individuals were apprehended a short time later following a coordinated search effort. According to authorities, a search tied to the arrests allegedly revealed a rifle-caliber pistol that had been modified to function as a fully automatic weapon.
Two adults were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Cass County Jail with charges pending. Three juveniles who were allegedly involved were released to their parents as the investigation continues.
