Cass County, MI – A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning in a vehicle crash on Wilbur Hill Road in Cass County’s LaGrange Township.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 4:07 a.m. to the 57000 block of Wilbur Hill Road after receiving reports of a car versus pedestrian incident. Investigators determined that a northbound vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, pending notification of family members. The crash remains under active investigation, and no further details about the driver or potential contributing factors have been released.
Assisting agencies included the Dowagiac Police Department, SMCAS Ambulance, and the Pokagon Township Fire Department.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the crash to contact the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
