Logansport, IN – A 36-year-old Logansport man suffered serious injuries early Wednesday morning after his vehicle struck a tree near a roundabout in Cass County, according to local authorities.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported the crash occurred around 7:04 a.m. on Perrysburg Road near Davis Road, when a 2017 Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound left the roadway and collided with a tree. Deputies, Indiana State Police, the Logansport Fire Department, and Cass County EMS all responded to the scene.
According to Sergeant Pat Zeider, the driver, identified as Andrew Dunderman, allegedly drove off the north side of Perrysburg Road before crossing over Davis Road and hitting a tree northwest of the roundabout. Emergency crews extricated Dunderman from the vehicle before transporting him by ambulance to a nearby helipad.
He was later airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment of serious injuries.
