Logansport, IN – A 13-year-old child was found safe in Logansport early Saturday morning following an extensive overnight search. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a call at approximately 2:09 AM about a missing juvenile in the 7000 block of US 24 West.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies determined that the child had run away from home. Several resources were deployed, including a bloodhound tracking dog and drones. The search involved coordination with multiple agencies, such as the Logansport Police Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Additional support was provided by local fire departments and emergency services.
The search concluded successfully at around 8:39 AM when the child was discovered sleeping in an unlocked vehicle in the 5000 block of US 24 West. Detective Sergeant John O’Connor confirmed that the child was unharmed and safely returned to their family.
