Cascade Valley, WA – An early-morning shooting in the 7900 block of Dick Road is under active investigation after one person was injured and taken to a Moses Lake hospital, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the scene shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, with the Public Information Officer arriving around 1:45 a.m. to gather details.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the victim was transported to Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake for treatment. No suspect or suspects are currently in custody. Investigators emphasized that the shooting was not a random act, noting that the individuals allegedly involved are believed to know one another. Deputies did not release information regarding the circumstances leading up to the gunfire, and the condition of the injured person has not yet been provided.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including MACC 911, the Moses Lake Police Department, Grant County Fire District #5, and Lifeline Ambulance. Emergency Medical unit EM-3 also responded. Authorities say details remain fluid and could change as the investigation continues.
Deputies remained on scene throughout the early morning hours gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses. The Sheriff’s Office stated that additional public information will be released later today as investigators work to determine what allegedly occurred and who may be responsible.
Residents in the Cascade Valley area are not believed to be at risk, as the incident appears to stem from a prior connection between the involved parties. No broader threat to the community has been identified.
