Charlotte, NC – Fog lifted early, revealing a calm start across the Carolinas — but change is on the horizon. Clouds build quickly Tuesday morning as a front moves in from the west, bringing scattered showers, a few rumbles of thunder, and slick roads before calmer, cooler weather takes over by Thanksgiving.
According to the National Weather Service in Greenville–Spartanburg, rain chances increase after midmorning Tuesday with light-to-moderate showers and possible isolated thunderstorms through the evening. Roads along I-77, I-85, and Route 74 could become slick during the afternoon commute. Temperatures will reach the upper 60s before dipping into the low 60s Tuesday night.
By Wednesday, drier air moves in as the front clears eastward, leaving partly sunny skies and highs near 72°F. Thanksgiving Day looks crisp and calm — perfect for travel, family gatherings, or early shopping plans — with morning lows near freezing and highs in the low 50s.
The weekend remains dry and mild before another system hints at a possible pattern shift early next week.
