Carol Stream, IL – The Carol Stream Police Department’s Social Services Unit has officially kicked off its 48th Annual Christmas Sharing Program, aiming to support local families facing financial hardship this holiday season.

According to the department, the community-wide donation drive runs from November 3 through December 2, 2025, with several drop-off locations across the village. Donations will go toward helping residents in need receive holiday gifts, toys, and household essentials.

Residents can drop off new, unwrapped toys and hygiene products at Carol Stream Village Hall (500 N. Gary Ave), Park District (910 N. Gary Ave), Public Library (616 Hiawatha Dr), and Fire Department (365 Kuhn Rd).

For those who prefer to give online, the department has created an Amazon Wish List, allowing donors to shop and send items directly to the program. Suggested donations include bandages, deodorant, shampoo, razors, diapers, and paper towels, along with toys for children ages 12 and under.

Program registration for families seeking assistance will be open November 10–26, 2025.

Officials encourage residents to help “make the holidays brighter for everyone in Carol Stream” by donating or spreading the word.
