Caribou, ME – Scattered showers and brisk winds are expected across northern and eastern Maine today, with cooler-than-average conditions continuing through the evening.
According to the US National Weather Service in Caribou, isolated to scattered showers are moving across the region this morning and will persist through much of Thursday, mainly in eastern areas. Breezy north winds will keep temperatures cool, with highs ranging from the low 40s in the north to near 50 degrees along the coast.
Showers are expected to taper off by tonight, but clouds will linger across the northern counties, keeping conditions damp and chilly overnight. The Weather Service says the next significant round of rain is forecast to arrive early next week as a cold front moves into the region.
Residents in Caribou, Presque Isle, Bangor, and Calais can expect mostly dry conditions by Friday, though breezy winds will continue to make it feel colder.
