Caribou, Maine – Northern Maine will enjoy a run of warm, dry days through midweek, but patchy morning fog could reduce visibility for drivers each morning. Highs are expected to reach the mid to upper 70s by Wednesday and Thursday before a front moves into the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, a cold front will push across the state late Thursday into Friday, carrying only a slim chance of showers, mostly across northern Aroostook County. Any rainfall that does develop will likely be light and scattered, with no significant accumulation expected.

Drivers on rural roads from Presque Isle to Fort Kent should watch for fog forming around daybreak, especially in low-lying river valleys. Winds will pick up Friday as the front clears, bringing noticeably cooler air into the weekend.

Residents planning outdoor activities can expect steady sunshine through Thursday, but should prepare for breezier conditions and a temperature drop by Friday afternoon.

Dry conditions are forecast to hold into next week, though additional advisories are possible as temperatures trend cooler.
