Caribou, ME – The National Weather Service in Caribou is advising residents across Maine to use caution on slick roads and sidewalks this morning after a light coating of overnight snow. Unsettled weather is expected to continue through Thursday, November 13, with a mix of rain and snow showers across the state.
According to forecasters, rain showers will mainly affect Downeast areas, while northern regions can expect scattered snow showers. Temperatures will stay slightly below normal, with highs ranging from the upper 30s in the north to low 40s near the coast.
Conditions are forecast to improve Friday and Saturday, bringing drier weather and some sunshine, though temperatures will remain on the cool side. Meteorologists are also monitoring the potential for another rain-and-snow system late Sunday, though details on timing and intensity remain uncertain.
The NWS reminds drivers to allow extra time for travel, especially during the morning commute when black ice or slick patches may develop on untreated surfaces.
