Caribou, ME – The National Weather Service in Caribou reports a seasonably cool and mostly dry weekend ahead for northern and eastern Maine, with mild daytime highs and chilly nighttime lows continuing through Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy, allowing for views of a crescent moon setting in the western horizon. Temperatures are forecast to drop to around 30°F in the colder northwestern valleys and near 40°F along the Downeast coast.
Saturday and Sunday will bring cool, tranquil weather across the region. Highs Saturday are expected to reach near 50°F in the north and the mid-50s for coastal areas, while Sunday highs will range from the upper 40s to low 50s. Skies will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny, with light winds and no significant precipitation expected.
Early next week will remain dry and seasonable, featuring partly sunny skies and highs continuing in the 40s and 50s. However, forecasters note a chance for rain late in the week as a developing coastal weather system begins to form off the East Coast.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the dry weekend for outdoor activities before wetter conditions return mid- to late-week.
