Albany, N.Y. – Drivers across the Capital Region will enjoy clear skies and dry roads through midweek, but cooler nights may cause patchy frost-fog on I-87 and other rural roadways by early Wednesday. Residents should plan for sharp temperature swings as warm afternoons give way to chilly evenings.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, Tuesday will bring sun with highs near 79 degrees before dipping into the mid-40s overnight. Light winds and clear skies will support ideal driving conditions but could also reduce visibility in low-lying areas by Wednesday morning.

Wednesday stays mostly sunny with highs in the mid-70s, while overnight temperatures again drop into the low 50s. Thursday looks warmer, reaching 80 under sunny skies. The pattern continues into the weekend with steady sunshine and highs in the mid- to upper 70s. Nights will remain cool, dropping into the upper 40s and low 50s.

This stretch of dry, comfortable weather offers opportunities for outdoor plans, but residents should prepare for brisk evenings. Keep jackets handy for late activities and use caution during early commutes where fog may linger along the Hudson River Valley.

The National Weather Service expects conditions to remain stable through the weekend. No advisories are in effect, but updates may follow if visibility concerns develop overnight.
