Albany, N.Y. – Residents across the Capital Region can expect a quiet start to the week with sunny skies and mild conditions before rain chances return midweek. Monday will stay clear with highs in the mid-70s, making for a comfortable day outdoors.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, patchy fog is likely to develop late tonight into early Tuesday morning, especially in low-lying areas around Rensselaer, Colonie, and Schenectady. Visibility could drop in spots before lifting by midmorning, giving way to mostly sunny skies and highs near 79 degrees.

Clouds build back in Tuesday night ahead of a weak disturbance. Showers become possible after 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the best chance for rainfall across Rensselaer County and nearby towns such as Troy and East Greenbush. Rainfall amounts will be light, but roads may become slick during the evening commute.

By Thursday, skies clear again with highs in the upper 70s, and Friday brings bright sunshine with temperatures climbing into the low 80s. Another round of showers could move in by the weekend, keeping conditions unsettled.
