San Diego, CA – A winter storm watch remains in effect for the Riverside County Mountains, with significant snowfall expected from Sunday morning through Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, areas between 3,500 and 5,000 feet could see 2 to 4 inches of wet snow, while elevations between 5,000 and 6,000 feet may receive 4 to 8 inches. Higher elevations above 6,000 feet could see up to 14 inches of accumulation.

Travel is expected to become hazardous, especially on roads, bridges, and overpasses. The storm may significantly impact Monday morning and evening commutes, with slick and icy conditions likely throughout the affected areas.

Residents are urged to delay travel if possible. Those who must drive should carry a winter storm kit, including tire chains, a flashlight, blankets, and emergency supplies.

The National Weather Service advises monitoring updates as the storm approaches and preparing for potentially dangerous conditions.
