LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Drivers across East L.A. could battle dense patchy fog through Friday morning before clearer skies arrive for the weekend. The early morning haze may reduce visibility along key routes, including I-10 and Highway 60, posing hazards for commuters. Officials urge caution, especially during peak drive times, as slick spots and low visibility could slow travel.

According to the National Weather Service, drizzle may linger into Friday morning with gradual clearing by midday. Highs will hover near 77 to 79 degrees, keeping conditions mild as the region shifts into the first weekend of fall. Light winds will push from the southwest, adding to the coastal influence of fog and low clouds.

By Saturday, East L.A. turns partly sunny with temperatures holding in the upper 70s. Morning clouds will again be the pattern, but skies brighten by afternoon, creating better conditions for outdoor events and travel. Sunday brings similar conditions, with fog before 11 a.m. followed by mostly sunny skies.

Looking ahead to early October, Monday and Tuesday continue the mild trend with highs in the upper 70s. No rain is expected, and afternoons should remain clear, offering a stable start to the new month.

Residents should allow extra drive time in the mornings, keep headlights on in fog, and monitor updates from Caltrans. Fog-related advisories could extend into early next week before stronger sunshine dominates midweek.
