Hanford, California – Get ready for a hot, breezy Memorial Day weekend across the Central Valley as temperatures rise and winds strengthen into early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Hanford, Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies and a high near 87°F, with northwest winds around 9 mph. Wind gusts could reach up to 15 mph, especially along key roadways like State Route 198 and SR-43, where reduced visibility and light debris may impact travel.

On Sunday, temperatures will climb further—expect a high near 89°F with northwest winds strengthening to 10–15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. These conditions will persist into Memorial Day, when highs reach 84°F under mostly sunny skies. Winds could again gust to 20 mph, creating safety concerns for outdoor grilling, boating, or highway driving.

Residents should hydrate frequently, limit outdoor work during peak heat, and secure loose items around their property. With fire danger increasing, be extra cautious with BBQs and open flames.

Looking ahead, the summer pattern strengthens through midweek. Monday night stays mild at 58°F, then Tuesday hits 90°F under continued sun and wind. By Thursday, highs may touch 94°F, signaling an early-season heat surge.

This summer-style setup remains in place, and NWS may issue additional advisories if wind or heat risks intensify.
