Los Angeles, Calif. – California and much of the West Coast will hold onto a warm, dry pattern through October 14, keeping conditions favorable for outdoor festivals, fall decorating, and early Halloween events. Afternoon highs will continue to trend above seasonal averages, with little rain expected from northern California through Oregon.

According to the National Weather Service, the 8-to-14-day outlook shows above-normal temperatures stretching along the California coast and inland valleys, with below-normal precipitation likely. That means longer runs of sunshine and dry conditions, but also continued fire concerns in areas where vegetation remains dry.

Los Angeles and San Diego can expect highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, while San Francisco stays milder in the 70s. Inland valleys, including Sacramento and Fresno, will push into the 80s under mostly sunny skies. While this weather provides excellent opportunities for pumpkin patches, vineyards, and fall outings, officials urge residents to stay mindful of local fire restrictions.

The region’s warm, dry streak is expected to last through October 14, with little sign of a significant cool-down or coastal storm before mid-month.
