Eureka, CA — A band of rain is moving through Del Norte and Humboldt counties this morning, bringing moderate to heavy showers. Crescent City Airport reported 0.95 inches of rain as of early Monday, with areas farther south expecting up to 0.50 inches.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Eureka, the rainfall will continue through mid-afternoon but weaken as the day progresses. The rain is expected to taper off by this evening as high pressure begins to rebuild over the region, returning dry conditions for the remainder of the week.

Highs today will reach near 60°F, with skies clearing by the afternoon. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on road conditions, especially in areas prone to flooding. Showers will return later this week, with the next chance of rain coming Thursday night into Friday.
