California Weather: Rain in San Francisco Tonight, Warmer Days Ahead for SoCal

Rain and gusty winds will linger in San Francisco overnight, while Southern California sees mild temperatures and sunny skies ahead.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to continue in the Bay Area through Monday night, with winds gusting up to 31 mph. A slight chance of rain lingers into Wednesday night before clearer conditions arrive. Meanwhile, Los Angeles and San Diego will stay dry, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the mid-60s to low 70s.

By Tuesday, Northern California will dry out, with sunshine and highs in the upper 50s. In Southern California, Los Angeles will see a high of 67°F, while San Diego will reach 63°F. Winds in coastal areas could gust up to 20 mph at times.

Spring officially begins Thursday, bringing seasonable temperatures statewide. San Francisco will see highs near 60°F with partly sunny skies, while L.A. and San Diego enjoy clear, warm conditions with highs in the upper 60s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, California’s weather will remain mild. The Bay Area will see a mix of sun and clouds, while Southern California enjoys sunshine and temperatures climbing into the low 70s by Sunday.

Travelers should be mindful of wet roads in the Bay Area through early Tuesday but can expect improving conditions across the state later in the week.
