East Los Angeles, CA – Patchy morning fog could grip East Los Angeles by Monday night, bringing reduced visibility and travel hazards through at least Wednesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog is expected to develop after 11 p.m. Monday and again Tuesday night, potentially impacting early commuters on major corridors like I-5, I-10, and I-710. Visibility may drop quickly before 11 a.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday, particularly in low-lying and coastal-adjacent neighborhoods. Drivers are urged to slow down, use headlights, and allow extra time for travel.

Daytime highs will gradually warm this spring week, reaching 66°F Monday and peaking near 80°F by Thursday. Despite the warmup, nights will remain cool in the mid-50s, ideal for fog development. Tuesday and Wednesday will bring partly sunny skies after fog clears, but dense early-morning fog pockets may still linger in valleys and near freeways.

Wednesday night will be mostly clear, leading into a warmer, mostly sunny Thursday with fog expected again before 11 a.m. East L.A. residents should plan outdoor activities for late mornings or afternoons to avoid reduced morning visibility.

Five-Day Extended Forecast for East L.A.:

  • Monday: Partly sunny, high near 66°F

  • Wednesday: Patchy fog, then mostly sunny, high near 73°F
