East Los Angeles, CA – Motorists across the region should prepare for patchy fog tonight, with reduced visibility on major roadways, including the I-5 and I-710 corridors. Drivers are urged to slow down and use low-beam headlights during nighttime travel.
According to the National Weather Service, East Los Angeles will experience mostly clear skies today with a high near 80 degrees, followed by cooler conditions overnight, dropping to 52 degrees. Calm winds are expected to maintain stable air quality, but patchy fog will develop late into the evening.
Looking ahead, sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s will dominate Friday, creating an ideal opportunity for outdoor plans. However, fog is forecasted again Friday night and into early Saturday, with lows dipping to 49 degrees. By the weekend, Saturday brings mostly sunny conditions, with a high near 68, and increasing cloud coverage by evening.
Sunday and Monday continue the mild trend, with highs in the mid-60s and lows in the upper 40s. Patchy fog could once again affect visibility during overnight hours, particularly before 10 a.m. both days.
Residents planning holiday travel or outdoor activities are encouraged to check real-time weather updates and exercise caution during foggy conditions. Keep emergency supplies, such as water and a flashlight, in your vehicle, and allow extra time for commutes.
