East L.A., CA – Patchy morning fog will continue to blanket East Los Angeles through the weekend, causing reduced visibility on local freeways including I-10 and I-710 during early commutes.
According to the National Weather Service, Thursday through Monday will bring persistent fog before 11 a.m., followed by mostly sunny skies and high temperatures near 69°F. Drivers are advised to use caution during morning travel, especially on key routes such as the I-5 and I-10 where fog could limit visibility below a quarter mile in some areas.
Light winds from the south will shift westward Friday afternoon, increasing slightly to 15 mph. Nighttime lows will hover in the low 50s, with continued fog development after sunset. Despite fog, conditions remain dry with no rain expected through the weekend.
By Saturday and Sunday, mornings will begin foggy again but transition into partly sunny and mild afternoons. Temperatures will remain consistent with daytime highs in the upper 60s. Those heading outdoors should dress in layers, as early morning chill quickly warms by midday.
Looking ahead to next week, Monday and Tuesday mirror similar conditions. Morning fog remains a daily feature, but forecasters expect clearer skies by Wednesday, when a slight chance of rain enters the picture.
Residents should allow extra travel time in the mornings, keep headlights on low beam, and stay updated with the latest advisories. For real-time conditions, check Caltrans traffic updates or the NWS Oxnard office website.
